Time Saving Tip: Making Invoices Bypass ABBYY

Checking invoices in both ABBYY and Fetch can feel like a double up of work – especially if the same person is responsible for both.

Your Fetch Consultant can make ABBYY invisible for you so that you only see invoices in Fetch, and don’t have to deal with them in ABBYY at all.

ABBYY will still be working in the background, but you will not have to look at all of the invoices in ABBYY.

We can set rules around this, for example send it straight to Fetch…

Every time or
Only if the invoice is less than $100 or
Only if the invoice is from ABC Supplier

We can use one of these rules or a mixture – or you might have your own rules you want applied!

If you have suppliers that ABBYY recognises well all the time, you may find this a big time saver. For the odd times ABBYY hasn’t captured the information correctly, you will be able to change it in Fetch.

NOTE: If you are using ABBYY to send invoices to different queues for people to approve the invoices, you will still need to have them show in ABBYY.

But watch this space – Fetch Approvals is due to be released mid 2023 – and if you move to using our new approval system when it is released, you would be able to apply the ABBYY rules as above.
