Installing FetchSync for Exo

To access FetchSync you need to have it installed on your PC and it needs to be connected to your Sync database which is kept on your SQL database.
These instructions are for when you are downloading and installing FetchSync from scratch.
- Select the Fetch Sync Client version – it is very important that you do NOT install the Fetch Sync Server version
- The download button doesn’t work, so highlight all of the file name and copy (Ctrl C or Right Click Copy)
- Paste this URL into a new tab in your browser. It will start downloading
- You should see the file downloaded in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.
If it is not there, look in your Downloads folder.
- Run this file by clicking or double clicking on it. Follow prompts to continue, finish etc
Now we need to connect to the database.
- Click the Window icon in the bottom left of your screen and start typing ‘Fetch’. When you see Fetch Sync Client appear, click on it.
- You will see a screen like this, but the fields will be blank. To set up the connection, click the 3 small dots
- Fill in these fields (Focus will need to provide you with Name, Server, User ID, Password)
- Once you have filled in those fields, click “List Databases” and you will see a list of databases on your server. Focus will let you know which database to connect to, but it will be named something like YourCompanyFetchSync
- Press OK and then Close and you will be back to the log in screen. Click the dropdown to choose the connection to connect to. There will only be one.
- Put inĀ your username and password and select your destination.
- Press Connect. You should see a screen similar to this
